MUNICIPAL CENTER

This medium-sized and multi-programmed municipal building in Van Nuys provides services to the community including children's education, legal document storage, and a library. Since the municipalities have invested in the design of some of the service buildings to represent the value of civic life, the project is to update the offices and create an engagement courtyard space at the center of the building. The design concept of the municipal building is providing a gathering zone and making connections to the service building around with the translation of source materials - the wave glass appears to be as light as curtain and produces the effect of opacity.
