The project explores the relationship between circulation, connection, and spatial networks through the creation of custom-made marble runs. This experiment involves designing intricate, three-dimensional assemblies that integrate various forms of movement, such as rotational dynamics, stops and starts, and collection chambers to accommodate multiple occupants before progressing. Emphasizing trial, error, and precision, the project investigates alternative materials for assembly, from metal to wood to 3D-printed components. As the project evolves, a key focus is on how volumes can develop around the circulatory systems, shaping spatial sequence, tectonics, and form. Drawing inspiration from puzzles and inlays, the design incorporates strategically placed figural voids and seams, with assembly techniques playing a crucial role in the final massing model. These models reflect not only the complex interactions of the system but also its overall expression, balancing detailed moments with a cohesive whole.
